The Intel Arc A750 in 2023 - Can it Compete?
In Europe they want 350€ for it.
Pico allows you to use it in vr. I gave up on my Nvidia 4060ti
The Intel A770 is a decent performing GPU. Been happy with the recent driver updates and use it for 1440p gaming. Thanks for the review.
I have an 5600x rx6600 setup. I really wanted to try the a770 just for shits and giggles. Im gonna need a card soon anyways when i build a pc for my kiddo so.... 🤷
I'm not a gamer. With that said, I would like to experiment with open source LLM's on my own hardware. This card being significantly less than $300.00 with lots of vram makes it an obvious choice for me.
Then this card makes 100% sense, especially with the fp16 compute perf it offers!
$279.99 for a 16GB card is a no brainer buy.
Should've been there when it used to be $230~250
Picked an A770 up from a local place for 220 bucks on special offer, quite an upgrade from my 1660 super 😅
how does it perform in the unreal engine 5? I'm thinking about buying the next gen intel cards, the 16gb Ram for that price is really appealing.
I used it for UE5.4 experimentation. Everything ran pretty well on it! If you want the 16GB of memory then it makes sense, but if you are spending around $300, the GPU found in a competeing Nvidia or AMD card (RTX 4060 and RX 6700XT) are more powerful in terms of raw FPS.
@@ProceuTech yes i want it for the vram, i got a 1070 ti so 4060 8gb doesn't really worth the hassle. Need a card with performance of 3070 and 16gb of vram. I'll wait for the new gen though, this gen performane is too inconsistent. Thanks a lot
@@sorousha.s9002 The drivers do need more work, maybe wait for Battlemage? I've heard leaks they're as fast as RTX 4070's or even the unreleased RTX 5080 haha. But again, prices for the a770 might drop when newer gen releases.
Direct benchmark comparisons against similarly prices gpus would have been useful to establish the final question "is it worth buying it in 2024?"
Lol, budget for 2024 means Ryzen 3rdgen..... What you mentioned is mid budget, not budget.
im wondering about upgrading my old 1060 6gb, boardl imited to 3.0 16x PCIE 3060, 3060 Ti, arc a 580/750
I was worried that PCIe 3.0 would bottleneck the A750/A770- after testing on a Z390 board with an i7-9700k, the only thing that effected performance was whether or not Resizable BAR was turned on (Called "Above 4G Decoding" in the BIOS).
If Battlemage equivalent of A770 is 20-30% faster than this and keep the current (reduced) pricing. I can honestly see it sells some
How does it compare to the rx 6700(XT) and rtx 3070?
6700xt and 3070 are 20% and 35% faster respectively
^^^ can be even wider or closer depending on the title though.
@@rzkrdn8650 You are looking at outdated numbers, as the 6700xt nowadays is about as good as the 3070 and the a770 at launch was on par with the 6600 non-XT, but nowdays is close to the 3070.
@@badass6300 nope it's not an outdated number, look it up on youtube, sort by upload date, a benchmark as early as 3 weeks ago confirms my statement. 3070 only stalemate with 6700xt if it is running out of vram (ultra texture/4k). It wins pretty much anything else. And everything else i said is also the same.
@@ProceuTech everything is
The Arc graphics drivers have come a long way in unlocking this card's potential for gaming, but I wonder how much more Intel's engineers can squeeze out with driver updates? This might be close to the best we are going to get. Not bad, priced right, but not competitive enough for core gaming. Best suited for folks who like to experiment. Intel has open source drivers for Linux, so it might be great for Linux gaming.
Yeah, I keep seeing the whole “the drivers will improve”, but tbh idk how much more they can squeeze from the cards without a drastic rewrite/rearchitecting of their hardware and drivers. It’s been almost 2 years since these cards, at what point do we sort of “call it” and realize this is what we’ve got. Cards are ridiculously powerful if you know how to program for it, but without specific optimizations on the part of games it probably won’t stand out significantly, which stinks because I like the card a lot…
@@ProceuTechI think intel said that the hardware is a770 is 3070 level so when ir reaches that it will be done
My only issue with A770 is that I can’t set up 120hz refresh rate in windows.
why i can
@@JayzBeerz it might got something to do with hdmi cable that works perfectly with 3090. I will try display port.
@@Ornal64 have you gone into advance display in windows?
@@JayzBeerz yes, it will just revert back to 60hz. Same hdmi cable with Radeon and Nvidia works without problem.
@@Ornal64use display port instead of HDMI, maybe it will help Intel cards can be tricky sometimes
Good review. I have had a good run with my A750. I just regret not buying the A770 16g version. :( My only regret.
Ah the twilight days of DDR4. It and the 11900K are latency kings. Pair it with DDR4-5333 and you have something great for esports
The memory controller is the only reason to go for an 11900k over an 11700k tbh
many insights, thank you
My more recent Minecraft video has a lot more details if you enjoyed this one
Update. Any AMD Zen 4 and up has AVX512 support. The game held diverse 2 uses AVX
40-series is subpar for gaming performance/value (128-bit shame) but compute performance is great for the power draw. This 4060 is like what, 110W-ish and pretty much in range of a 3070 and sometimes 3070 Ti level for non-gaming acceleration. I'm not happy with it at $300 average MSRP but I'm gonna bite on a $250 refurbished Eagle model from Newegg and stop my search.
RTX 2070, 8GB. It still works great at 1440p, but it would be a lie to say the newest games don't have some VRAM trouble.
Theres no bad gpu Only bad price
buy intel if u cry high prizes and think drop prizes if competitive buying

I'd probably invest in an i7-8700k if I were in that position, but with the limited VRMs on ur board it may not be enough to consistently deliver 125W+.

rtx 3060 performs 2222.03 points in blender and rtx 2060 is 1616.31 points. Which makes 3060, 31.56%.faster in blender on average . But the cheapest 3060 i found is 150 euros as of June 2024 and the cheapest 2060 i have just bought was 90 euros. So basically, more or less you get what you pay for and it is a matter of budget. Of course the more you pay better until 4090. But 12 gigs of memory is good for work though. 3060 = 2070. And Radeon cards are only options for people who don't intent to use creativity software at all, unless it is simple text editors like adobe InDesign, vector images and so.
5600x stilla mid tier beast
I'm in the US - pre ordered my EVGA Superclocked GeForce GTX Titan X 1GB for around $1,200 (Not including taxes/shipping) - It's still custom water cooled, custom firmware, hardware power mod, and liquid metal thermal fluid - also scraped surfaces on processor and custom waterblock. Specs are similar to this video, but in most aspects add around 8-12% and that's mostly due to being able to keep the temperatures down. (External 1gallon tank, 800mm X 800mm radiator 8 200mm fans - 4 push / 4 pull - open air (not in a case) in a seperate room that is A/C cooled. Similar seperate setup for CPU which is still a Intel Core i7-5820K - No problems the last 9 or so years. There is a lot you can do with the GPU still today. June 20, 2024
I already own a series s and you nearly convinced me to buy another one 😂

Why don't you mention the AMD cards, they seem to offer the best bang for your buck, specially considering VRAM
its interesting that as time goes on, intel could be in the GPU game once the software support is there
Where is the beginning tutorial ? This makes no sense

i3 32gb ddr5 a 7700x and 6800 good for 1080p?
Games keep on crashing sometimes, even software for headset crash when I play CS2 with 7.1 surround system. Also played Arkham Knight just to test if it's only crashing during CS2 but it happened also in Arkham Knight. I don't know am I having problems with GPU, CPU or something else is going on. I have Gigabyte PSU 550W 80+ bronze. If anyone has a clue what can be the problem and solution, I would be grateful to let me know.
Are we talking bluescreen crash? Or the game just freeze?
@@ProceuTech Freeze than I must Alt+Tab or Windows+D and when I open Task Manager it crashes.
Are you able to close the game after or do you have to reboot your system to make it usable again?
@@ProceuTech Sometimes it closes on its own, sometimes I have to do it and few times I had to restart PC. Force restart.
@VidekanicMarko that’s strange, have you tried DDU’ing your gpu drivers and reinstalling? That would be my first trouble shooting step, but there could be other issues I just don’t know about.
hi please help me choose, rx 6600 or a750
Probably the RX 6600 if you want to just game on your system. The A750 is only really worth it if you’re wanting to experiment with your system
The 7800xt is a much better deal because it preforms on average of 5-10% faster in rasterization, and is in most cases 50-100$ cheaper than the 4070.
Is good for use this video card? For play Helldiver 2?
It runs fine, but honestly if you’re looking to spend around $300, the Rx 6700xt would provide a much smoother and higher refresh rate experience!
Hey man, do you boost the gpu clock on the gpu software?
Yes in the Arc Control Panel- msi afterburner only recently started hooking on to Intel GPUs
@@ProceuTech how much boost you go, i only go for 26. Could it still go higher and still be stable, i see your gpu clock is at about 2.6k mhz, while mine is at 2480 mhz. So i can still push more?
@skee7259 so the boost is weird in my experience, because it will apply but if it’s too much it still will but it will actually boost less. I found that pushing the boost to 15 and then also pushing the core voltage up by 25 millivolts gets me the extra 200MHz on both the A750 and A770 that I own
Man I remember when I got the rtx 3060 thinking I was all high and mighty, now I can barely run helldivers 2 at medium-high, 1440p, 60fps😭😭😭 Helldivers 2 is pretty decently optimized too so thats just one of the better examples of modern games these days😭
The RTX 3060 is and was sold as an entry level 1080p card..and you're disappointed it cant run ultra settings on a game that's 3 years newer than the graphics card? and at 1440p? My dude, I don't know what to tell you.
